How to Beat Raven in Stellar Blade
How to beat Raven in Stellar Blade, including her instant-kill charge, flight phase, and best skills.

Raven’s Naytiba form is one of the most punishing encounters in Stellar Blade. Fought in Xion and appearing twice over the course of the story, she combines aggressive ground combos with flight, aerial dives, and a concentration charge that can instantly kill EVE if it completes. This guide explains how to read her phases, interrupt her deadliest attack, and build a loadout that keeps the fight under control.
Where You Fight Raven
Raven waits in Xion. You face her twice: once during the main story and again later under tougher conditions. Both encounters take place in the same general arena, so learning the layout during the first fight pays dividends the second time around. There is no cover system to hide behind, so movement and spacing are your only defenses.
Why Raven Is Difficult
Three things make Raven hard. First, she spends part of the fight airborne, which limits the amount of time you can safely attack her with melee. Second, her ground combo chains are fast and can carry her across the arena, punishing players who hold block too long or dodge too early. Third, and most importantly, she can charge a concentration attack that will kill EVE instantly if it fires. That move alone forces you to stay alert for a specific animation rather than simply reacting to hits.
Phase Breakdown
Ground Phase
On the ground Raven rushes in with sword-like strikes, sweeps, and short teleport steps. Her combos are usually three to five hits long. The safest plan is to stay at mid-range, let her finish a chain, and then close in for one or two hits before backing away. Overcommitting is the main reason players die here; Raven recovers fast enough to punish greed.
Flight Phase
After taking enough damage, Raven takes to the air. From above she will dive, shoot projectiles, or hover just out of reach while setting up her next move. Do not chase her blindly. Use ranged gun attachments to chip away, focus on avoiding the dive, and be ready to attack the moment she lands.
Second Encounter
The rematch follows the same pattern but hits harder and moves faster. The instant-kill charge comes out sooner after she enters flight, so your reaction time needs to be sharper. Keep your healing items for this later portion of the fight.
How to Interrupt the Instant-Kill Charge
The most important skill against Raven is recognizing the charge animation. When she pauses, floats higher, or gathers dark energy around herself, she is preparing the instant-kill concentration attack. You must interrupt it before it resolves.
- Close the gap with Blink if you are already near her. A quick melee strike during the startup will cancel the charge.
- Use ranged pressure if she is too far away. Gun attachments that fire quickly are ideal for knocking her out of the animation from a distance.
- Save Beta skills for emergencies. If you are low on ammo or out of position, a Beta attack can interrupt the charge and deal significant damage at the same time.
Learning this animation is the single biggest improvement you can make. Once the charge no longer scares you, the rest of the fight becomes a matter of patience.
Dealing with Flight
When Raven flies, your first priority is survival, not damage. Roll through or sidestep her dives, then look for the landing animation. She is briefly vulnerable right after touching down, and that is your window for a full combo or a charged attack. If you have ranged upgrades from our Best Exospines recommendations, you can also chip her health while she hovers, making the ground phase shorter.
Recommended Skills and Loadout
A few tools make Raven much more manageable:
- Blink — closes distance instantly and lets you interrupt the charge from mid-range.
- Gun attachments — keep pressure on during flight and provide a safe way to break the concentration attack.
- Beta skills — high burst damage for openings and a panic button for the instant-kill charge.
- Beta recharge passives — the more often you have Beta available, the safer the fight becomes.
- Ranged damage boosts — shorten the flight phase by making every shot count.

General Survival Tips
- Do not spam dodge. Wait for the actual attack start, then roll once to avoid it.
- Stay near the center of the arena so you always have room to retreat or approach.
- Heal after a successful punish, not while she is mid-combo.
- In the second fight, save your strongest recovery items for the final third of her health bar.
- If you are struggling, farm a few levels and upgrade your Exospine before returning.
Raven is a test of composure. Learn the charge, respect her air time, and punish only when she is actually vulnerable. If you stay patient and bring the right tools, both encounters become clean, satisfying duels.
