What Gold Is Used For
Gold is the standard currency of Stellar Blade. You spend it at vendors, camp vending machines, and shops such as Sisters' Junk in Xion. Common uses include replenishing healing items, buying crafting materials, purchasing SP Initializers, fishing bait, and certain Nano Suits. Because supplies can get expensive, it pays to keep a healthy wallet.
Early-Game Farming Spots
In the opening chapters, the best source of Gold is simply clearing every enemy you meet and searching every corpse and crate. Do not rush past side areas. The bulletin board in Xion opens early and offers requests such as Looking for my Brother and Missing Husband, which pay thousands of Gold for minimal effort. Accept every bulletin request you see; many can be completed naturally while exploring.
Wasteland and Great Desert Routes
Once the Wasteland and Great Desert become available, they become the best repeatable farming zones. Fast travel between discovered camps, clear the enemy camps along the way, loot red crates, and rest to respawn enemies. The Great Desert in particular has wide open areas with clusters of Naytibas and buried chests. Combine farming with active requests so every kill counts toward a bounty.
Selling Excess Materials
Your inventory has no weight limit, but you will accumulate stacks of Polymer Materials, Nano Elements, Vitcoin, and other crafting components. Keep enough to upgrade your preferred Gear and drone, then sell the surplus. Common materials such as low-tier polymers sell for small amounts individually, but stacks add up quickly. Check Sisters' Junk and camp vendors before a big purchase.
Bulletin Board Bounties
The Xion bulletin board is the most reliable source of large Gold payouts. Some high-value requests include:
- Recruit Passcode Specialists — 20,000 Gold upon collecting the Chapter of Trial documents and opening the Wasteland container. This is the single largest bulletin-board payout in the game.
- The Fish of Legends — A substantial reward for catching the Whale Shark after unlocking Fantastic Bait.
- Where Is the Fantastic Bait? — Pays well for completing the fishing quest chain.
- A Gift for a Fishing Maniac — 5,000 Gold for retrieving the hidden fishing chest.
- Lurker Hunt — A solid payout for eliminating the target Naytiba.
- Source of the Nightmare — Rewards Gold for clearing the specified threat.
Payouts vary by request, and some late-game bulletin tasks offer thousands of Gold for only a few minutes of work.
A second bulletin board exists in the Wasteland, allowing you to turn in completed requests without traveling back to Xion.
End-Game Farming
After completing the story, you can continue exploring or start New Game+. In New Game+, enemy difficulty increases but so does the value of drops. You can also find Mk2 versions of Exospines and new Gear. Re-run high-density areas such as the Wasteland, Great Desert, and Matrix 11 while wearing any Gold-acquisition Gear you have collected. Boss rematches and arena-style encounters also drop sellable materials.
Efficiency Tips
- Stack objectives. Pick up every bulletin request in a region before farming so kills and loot complete multiple tasks.
- Use fast travel. Camps are free to travel between, so bounce between dense zones instead of walking.
- Rest and repeat. Resting at a camp respawns enemies and refills your potions, letting you farm indefinitely.
- Do not over-buy consumables. Crafting and looting usually provide enough grenades and potions; save Gold for upgrades.
- Upgrade Gear that increases Gold gain. If you own any Gold acquisition Gear, equip it while farming.
