Stellar Blade Eidos 9 Secret Level

How to unlock the secret Eidos 9 level in Stellar Blade by raising Lily's progress to 100%.

What Is Eidos 9?

Eidos 9 is a hidden stage in Stellar Blade that does not appear during a normal playthrough. It is an entire additional area with its own enemies, environmental storytelling, and lore reveals that flesh out the relationship between Eve and Lily. More importantly, visiting Eidos 9 is a prerequisite for unlocking the true ending, Making New Memories. Without it, the best possible outcome at the Orbit Elevator is permanently out of reach.

The stage is designed as a reward for players who dig deeply into the world. It answers lingering questions about the broader setting and gives extra context before the final ascent. If you care about the narrative, Eidos 9 is not optional; it is the missing piece that makes the finale land with full emotional weight.

How to Unlock Eidos 9

The only way to unlock Eidos 9 is to raise Lily’s progress bar to 100% before reaching the point of no return at the Orbit Elevator inside Spire 4. Once Lily hits 100%, a new mission marker appears and you can travel to Eidos 9 through the world map. If you proceed to the Orbit Elevator first, the opportunity disappears for that playthrough.

Lily’s progress is cumulative. The bar briefly appears whenever you pick up a relevant collectible or finish a qualifying side quest. You do not need to find every collectible in the game to reach 100%, but you do need to clear most of them. Miss a few and you may find yourself locked out of the true ending despite hours of exploration.

What Raises Lily Progress

Four main activities fill Lily’s progress bar:

  • Documents and data logs — Text files scattered across Eidos 7, Xion, the Wasteland, Matrix 11, the Great Desert, and other regions. Many are tucked in corners behind obstacles or require passcodes.
  • Memory Sticks — Audio logs that let you hear the voices of people who lived before the catastrophe. They are usually hidden off the main path.
  • Beverage cans — There are 49 cans hidden throughout the world. Collecting them all also unlocks the Black Pearl Nano Suit. See the Collectibles Guide for a full breakdown.
  • Certain side quests — Some quests reward Lily progress on completion. These are typically the quests that involve helping camp survivors or tracking down lost companions.

Because cans and Memory Sticks are the largest contributors, thorough exploration is more important than rushing the main story. Our All Endings Guide explains how this bar ties into the final choice, and our Fishing Guide covers another major collectible chain that rewards its own exclusive outfit.

What to Do Before the Orbit Elevator

The safest plan is to enter Spire 4 only after unlocking Eidos 9 and resolving any unfinished collectible hunts. Before you board the Orbit Elevator, verify the following:

  1. Lily’s progress bar reads 100%.
  2. The Eidos 9 mission is available on the world map.
  3. You have completed Eidos 9 and watched its story beats.
  4. You have a manual save at Spire 4 for easy reloading.

If Lily is below 100%, backtrack through earlier regions before proceeding. Some areas become inaccessible after the point of no return, so do not leave cleanup for later.

What You Find in Eidos 9

Eidos 9 contains unique enemy encounters, platforming sections, and narrative sequences that are not repeated elsewhere. The level is visually distinct from the industrial corridors of Matrix 11 or the sand-swept dunes of the Great Desert, offering a quieter, more melancholic atmosphere that underscores the game’s themes of memory and loss.

Enemies here drop useful materials, and the level contains extra supplies that can help with the final encounters in Spire 4. More importantly, the story content in Eidos 9 directly affects the ending cutscenes. Without it, the true ending will not trigger even if you make the correct choice at the Orbit Elevator.

Why Eidos 9 Matters for the True Ending

The true ending, Making New Memories, requires two conditions: Lily at 100% and the completion of Eidos 9 before the final elevator. The stage deepens the bond between Eve and Lily to the point where the final choice carries a different emotional consequence. If you skip Eidos 9, accepting Adam’s hand results in Cost of Lost Memories instead.

In short, Eidos 9 is the narrative bridge between a standard completion and the best ending. Treat it as mandatory for any playthrough where you want the fullest version of the story.
